
Three thousand Queensland public service contract workers lost their jobs at the end of last month.
Premier Campbell Newman says the jobs have had to go to help rein in state debt after he released details of an audit of the state’s finances by former Federal Treasurer Peter Costello, which said state debt would blow out to more than $90 billion in four years.
