Today seven-hundred delegates from the Transport Workers Union gave blood in honour of road victims – some 330 die each year from the pressure to meet unrealistic deadlines. Large supermarket chains have been accused of driving down transport costs, forcing the transport industry to cut corners on safety.
Your Rights at Night spoke with Richard Olsen, Assistant Secretary of the Transport Workers Union NSW Branch about the campaign
Your Rights at Night is Adelaide’s only union radio show, brought to you by SA Unions. Each week our dynamic team of presenters pack the one hour program with information about your rights at work, and other social issues.
It’s all about you – your right to fair pay, to fair conditions, to a safe work place, and to fair compensation if you are injured at work.
Smart and sassy, it’s activist media at its best – definitely worth listening to!
Tune in Thursday nights @ 6.00 pm on Radio Adelaide – on digital, on-line & 101.5 FM
